11. Okapi

The Okapi is native to the Democratic republic of Congo, which is located in Central Africa. This animal is a mammal and kind of looks like a pig mixed with a Zebra. While the stripes it has make it look like a Zebra the Okapi is closely related to the giraffe.

The name of the Thorny Dragon pretty well describes the lizard as appearing like a dragon with tons of thorns. This lizard has a fake head to protect itself and it is colored desert brown like its environment. This animal is mostly found in the desert and it spends most of its time trying to hide itself from other predators. As the name implies this frog is found in India. The frog is a kind of brownish purple, kind of the color of purple mud. While it is a frog it looks more like a leech because it is extremely bloated. The frog also has a pointy snout. The frog spends most of its life underground mating with other frogs. For two weeks out of every year the frog comes up to the surface of the earth. This extremely ugly creature is definitely worth taking a look at.

This fish is extremely large and is also extremely bright blue. The fish is so bright blue that you will not believe that it is real. The fish is found in the Atlantic Ocean and it spends most of its life searching for food in the ocean. There are tons of unique snakes in the world, but the bush viper may be the most unique one in existence. The bush Viper has lots of spikes and thus looks a little bit like a dragon. This animal is found in the tropical rainforests of Africa. This snake does its hunting at night and it is a carnivorous predator.

5. Glaucus Atlanticus

This animal is typically known as a blue dragon. While that name makes it sound intimidating the Glaucus Atlanticus is actually just a type of blue sea slug. This slug is found in many of the world’s oceans and is typically found near the surface of the ocean. It floats to the top because it has a gas-filled sac on its stomach. This sac causes it to float to the top.

This antelope is typically found in Eastern Europe or in Western Asia. It has a strange looking nose that is extremely flexible. Other than its nose it looks like a normal antelope. The Saiga Antelope is a truly unique animal.

This moth was only recently discovered in the country of Venezuela. Until 2009, we did not even know that the moth existed. Since this is a recent discovery there is not much known about the moth. The moth looks very fluffy and so it looks kind of like a poodle.

The Pacu Fish is an extremely strange looking fish. This fish is found in Papua New Guinea. It has extremely sharp and human like teeth. If you see the inside of this fish’s mouth you will be scared to get in the waters of New Guinea. Fishermen living in New Guinea often saw that they are scared for their safety due to the existence of these fish.

These shrimp are also known as “sea locusts”. There is little known about these creatures because they spend a large amount of their life hiding in burrows so that they can hunt more effectively. Even though we do not know a lot about these animals we do know that they are an extremely common predator in tropical waters. These shrimps look extremely alien in nature and they are definitely worth looking at.
