“Shelty” Saves The Day

According to Barbara Boone, she owes her life to her German Shepherd-Sheltie Terrier mix. Shelty, age 8 now, has been with her human since she was a puppy. According to KFOR, they have been inseparable since the beginning.

Boone usually employs a cane to assist her walking, and recently fell after she lost her balance. She says she fell and was unable to pull herself up off the floor. Shelty rushed to her side, and amazingly pulled Boone to the next room where she was able to lift herself up and call for help.

Shelty used the strong grip of her own teeth and jaw to tug the rug Boone was lying on into the next room. According to Boone, Shelty’s intuition and ingenuity saved her life that day.
