Diesel The Dog Saves His Owner From Bees

Kathy Nobles and her Cane Corso, Diesel, were walking with her other dog, Dozer, one summer evening this past June. Their walk took them near cranberry bogs near Plympton, Mass., where recently had been placed a few bee boxes. Unfortunately, Nobles was unaware of the bee boxes and strolled too close.

She was swarmed by bees, receiving stings all over. She recalls having them in her clothes, stinging her ears and lips too. Dozer fled, but Diesel remained close to Nobles, and pushed her in the direction away from the bees. Diesel had many stingers and became lethargic. After receiving care from VCA South Shore Animal Hospital, he has recovered well.

Both are doing well, and Nobles credits her furry friend with saving her.
